Pet Goods Dynasty Double Diner Raised Feeding Station with 3 Quart Bowls Review

Pet Goods Dynasty Double Diner Raised Feeding Station with 3 Quart Bowls
Average Reviews:

The feeding station cannot be used for storage of food because when you open the drawer the whole thing falls forward spilling water all over the place including into the dog food. Would have been nice to know this before I purchased.

The Dynasty 11-1/2-inch-high pet feeding station is a comfortable way for pets to get their nourishment. The easy-to-assemble feeder puts food 11-1/2 inches off the floor, helping a pet's posture, joints, and leg muscles, promoting better digestion, and minimizing the risk of choking. Two 3-quart stainless-steel bowls nestle in a base with a beautiful antique black matte finish. The design features a large drawer for storage of food, treats, or toys, and the bowls are separated from the contents of the drawer by a panel to prevent accidental spills from getting into the drawer. The bowls are dishwasher safe for easy cleaning. The feeder is easily assembled at home, and it measures 12-1/2 by 11-1/2 by 23-1/2 inches.

Taste of the Wild Grain-Free Dry Cat Food, Canyon River w/ Trout & Smoked Salmon, 5 Pound Bag Review

Taste of the Wild Grain-Free Dry Cat Food, Canyon River w/ Trout and Smoked Salmon, 5 Pound Bag
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Yes, when I pour the bag into my airtight storage containers, the lyrics from Thriller come to mind:
"The foulest stench is in the air
The funk of forty thousand years
And grizzly ghouls from every tomb
Are closing in to seal your doom"
But, this review is about my kitty's reaction, not mine. The directions on the bag suggest mixing the new food with familiar food for a while, so that your pet's digestive system can get used to the new stuff. A slave to Pete, my cat, I willingly obliged. He couldn't be happier! He's on his 3rd bag of the Canyon River; he's been eating it straight for a while.
Being a (mostly) Russian Blue cat, Pete has always been super soft. Imagine my surprise when his coat became even silkier! While the food stinks, my kitty's breath does not. Maybe because I weaned him off of his old brand? Who knows. Now, here's the very best part: my cat poops less frequently! Hooray! Because of the wildly mixed reviews on this product in the larger size, I would recommend buying this smaller bag before committing to the larger one.

Kong E-Collar Review

Kong E-Collar
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
When I was younger, all the kids who had broken bones got white plaster casts - nowadays, they have all sorts of colorful models to choose from to make a broken bone not an entirely negative experience.
Whether your dog has been injured or has just come back from spay or neuter surgery, these "Elizabethan Collars" are a great way to keep them from biting and chewing at a wound or stitches, but still enabling them to see where they are going and to easily access their food and water. Having different color options is great - these were originally only available in clear in the past, so the dog could see the stitches, but not reach them. Dogs can only see muted colors at best, but there's nothing wrong with their owners wanting to color-coordinate.

Catit Fresh & Clear Small Drinking Fountain Review

Catit Fresh and Clear Small Drinking Fountain
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
For two years, I used the large Hagen Catit "bubble-dome" water system (that they still make and sell). The pump gave out on it, and when I went to order a new one, I saw this new, smaller version and gave it a try.
My cat was already used to drinking from a dome fountain, so he immediately adjusted to this new model. Although this version holds less water than the old version (64oz vs. 100oz), the water seems to evaporate more slowly, and thus it lasts almost as long between refills (although I live in Arizona, where things evaporate very quickly). The actual pump is exactly the same as the one found in the old model, and it is very quiet (although you can hear a slight "hum").
My only complaint is with the filter. Inside of this device is a circular filter that is supposed to fit snugly against the inside walls. The water comes up from the bottom of the feeder, out the top of the dome, then drips down the sides of the dome and back inside through some holes around the outside edges. The problem is that the filter doesn't quite reach the edges of the feeder, and when the water drips back inside, much of it flows through the small space between the filter and the inside wall of the feeder. I wish the filter was made slightly larger in order to minimize this gap and to make sure that all of the water flows through the filter.
*****************
Update: After a brief power outage, I realized one important thing: Unlike many of the other water fountains for pets, if the power goes out, there is NO WATER available for the pet to drink from this model. If you leave for a day or two, or are in an area that may get power outages, be sure to leave out a separate dish of water.

Drinkwell with 50 Oz Reservoir Review

Drinkwell with 50 Oz Reservoir
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
First of all, I know that on the other versions of the fountain (with or without this extra reservoir) there were reviews stating that the fountain was noisy or that their cats would not drink from it. This was not my experience, the fountain runs pretty quietly you just need to make sure there is enough water in the bowl (enough to cover the little hole at the base of the bowl where filtration gets cycled through.)
You will need to give your pets time to adjust. My two kittens are 6 months old and they have always drank from a bowl. When I first hooked up the fountain they stuck their paws in and played a little, but mostly looked at it nervously for a couple days. I left their regular bowl next to it and noticed after a few days one cat started to prefer the fountain. After a week I took the regular bowl away at meal time and my other cat started to drink from the fountain. I think most cats will need a gradual change to this, don't expect them to like it overnight.
The bowl itself holds more water than both my cats need for 2 or 3 days. Getting a reservoir attachment wasn't needed, but I got one just so I could always feel secure they'd have plenty of water if something happened and I was away from home. This may be different with dogs, as I think they drink way more water.
***
The 50 oz. reservoir container was INSTANTLY KNOCKED OVER by my curious kitten. I had even tucked it by the wall in a position LESS likely to be knocked over... but this is designed so poorly that if your pet likes to jump over it or put their paw up on it, bam... falls over and empties a ton of water all over the floor! (Yes it was "secured" by the little plastic "latch" piece on the back, but it's very flimsy. Plus, there is no way to flip the reservoir over after you fill it without spilling at least a little bit of water.)
So, now I use the fountain by itself. I add a cup of water directly to the bowl at feeding time every day. It stays pretty clean, way cleaner than the old bowl, so I give it a good scrub about once a week. (Compared to the old bowl which was dirty daily.)
Unless you have a dog or need to be away from the house for more than a couple days, I'd just get the fountain without the reservoir container. Drinkwell Pet Fountain

Gulpy Pet Water Dispenser Review

Gulpy Pet Water Dispenser
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I've gone through 3 of these. The plastic is cheap and brittle. All 3 have broken around the hinge so it renders the bottle useless. The packaging says something like a lifetime guarantee but when I emailed the company, they were going to charge me about 1/2 the cost of the bottle for replacement bowls. The company did mention something about a redesign with better material but I won't hold my breath.

Pros: Very convenient and easy to use, very leak-proof, one hand operation is possible
Cons: Cheap, brittle plastic breaks easily, needs a clip to secure bottle to bowl as belt clip leaves bottle half flopping around, cannot sit or stand on it's own hand-free

Arthur Court Dog 13-Inch Treat Jar Review

Arthur Court Dog 13-Inch Treat Jar
Average Reviews:

This treat jar is the talk of my kitchen when guests come. It would be nice if it came in two sizes, large and small. The jar holds about two liters which is good for large treats, but for small treats it looks empty unless you keep it about half full. It does have a great seal that keeps the treats fresh.

Ark Naturals Eyes-So-Bright™ -- 4 fl oz Review

Ark Naturals Eyes-So-Brightandtrade; -- 4 fl oz
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
My cat tends to get goopy, encrusted eyes as a symptom of feline herpes. He graciously suffered my attempts to clean his eyes with clean hands and a damp tissue, but I knew there had to be a better way. Eyes So Bright by Ark Naturals was the solution. The herbs in this product are the same one would use for human health, and have similar uses. Even so, there are a few small issues that caused me to drop one star.
My first attempts to use this product failed miserably. My cat was very sensitive to the astringent quality of the fluid, and it took a while for him to adjust to the sensation. Further complicating things is the design of the bottle. The plastic bottle is a little hard to squeeze, and the push-top cap (like a shampoo bottle) just makes it harder to be sure of the amount of fluid I'm squeezing out. I tried to follow the instructions on the bottle to simply saturate a cotton ball, hold it to the affected eye, and allow the product to seep out into the eye. That didn't work as my cat was too jumpy and the liquid went everywhere but into the eye. Then I tried squeezing a little fluid from the cotton ball into the eye--better, but the astringency was difficult for him to bear.
Now I've switched to using a circular cotton pad (like a make-up pad) cut into fourths, and with a saturated pad, I dab gently at the eye and clear debris that way. Now that my cat is more accustomed to the fluid, he seems to welcome the cooling relief and now I can hold the pad to his eye, squeeze in a little fluid, or wipe his eyelid, and he responds well to all of these. He still gets encrusted and goopy eyes, but now I can clean them with ease.
Ingredients (as listed on the bottle):
De-ionized water, traditional hand filet aloe juice HF, FG, witch hazel, goldenseal fluid extract, gotu kola fluid extract, echinacea fluid extract.
If you have a pet with weeping or encrusted eyes, try this product. It'll take a little while for everyone to get adjusted, but the benefits are well worth it.

I've been using this for the past month on my little pug/terrier. She no longer has bad breath and it seems like it helps with cleaning of her teeth. I use just a few drops per small water bowl and it is sufficient. Compared to Dental Rinse it works equally however my dog will still drink with this added compared to not drinking as much with Dental Rinse

I love this product. It is very durable and after a year still looks brand new. It works well for transporting in the car. And we use it when we travel, so we can bring his home when we visit relatives in the Berkshires. My dog loves it. Collapses easily and washes very well. Could even be used when camping I guess. I highly recommend this product.

PetSafe Healthy Pet Water Station Dog and Cat Water System with Stainless Steel Bowl Review

PetSafe Healthy Pet Water Station Dog and Cat Water System with Stainless Steel Bowl
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
My elderly (17+) cat has become so fastidious and unpredictable in his water habits that I thought there was little chance he would use the PetSafe Healthy Pet Water Station. In order to get a definitive answer, I set up video surveillance to record any time there was activity near the water station. I set it up in a location where there is usually a small bowl of water (I keep more than one around the house).
He ignored it completely the first couple of days, and then started walking over to check it out. That went on for a day or two before he actually drank from it. Last night, he used it six times. Of course, he could go back to ignoring it next week.
The PetSafe Healthy Pet Water Station (medium) is a good practical design. I live in an area with very hard water; the removable stainless steel bowl will make it much easier to clean off the mineral deposit ring that forms every few weeks. I used a Petmate Fresh Flow for years; removing mineral deposits from the bowl and ramp without scratching the plastic was tedious, time-consuming job (multiple applications of Lime Away).
Minor issues: The size and shape of the bowl in relation to the reservoir bottle can make it a tight fit for cats because their foreheads have to get so close to the water. My cat does not seem bothered by this on the medium size, but might have a problem with the small size. I think the filters may be a little pricy; since the water I'm using has already been through a PUR filter, I may forego replacing the filter when the time comes.
Follow-up [a few weeks later]: Mr. Cat continues to use the PetSafe Healthy Pet Water Station, but only if I remove and rinse out the removable stainless steel bowl every 24-48 hours. I kept the video surveillance up for a couple of weeks after the original review and noted that, as time passed, he became increasingly reluctant to use the Water Station and would eventually just ignore it. I try to rinse it out every night just before going to bed; this minimizes the chances of an urgent 3 AM discussion on the water bowl situation.

Point of this product was to make sure your pets have always fresh food and water when you are away for longer.
Both food feeder and water owl are not leveled properly so after what's done in the bowl, nothing more comes out.
I did try everything. Only thing you can do it to level it yourself by lifting the back and hope your cats won't knock it down.
Needles to say I am back to old traditional bowls.

Fresh and Clear Drinking Fountain for Cats and Puppies Review

Fresh and Clear Drinking Fountain for Cats and Puppies
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I have 5 cats, and they all love this water bowl. I got this as the upstairs water bowl. It is very quiet. Two of my cats love to lick condensation off glasses and soda cans, and so they love to drink from the water on the dome. My other cats love the cool water in the bowl that is constantly kept cat-hair-free when it recirculates back into the dome through a mechanical filter. This filter also has a few token grains of carbon, but I can't say there's really enough to do anything significant.
It is not like a water faucet, so if your cats like drinking from the faucet, this might not be the right fountain for you.
It took a few days before any of my cats would drink from it, but now they all use it. It's a great way to make sure your cats are getting enough to drink.
I can easily recommend this water fountain for your cat. I expect this would work out very well with small dogs, too.
