My doxie is crazy about it and will eat nothing else (except people food if he can get it) His coat is beautiful and shiny and his weight is perfect. Now for those who know doxies, they can tend to get heavy if overfeed and that causes health issues. This food is perfect.

(More customer reviews)I have the most sensitive dogs. Both my Shepherds, Belgium and German, are quick to have diarrhea. I've tried Iams, Science Diet, Bill Jack, you name it we have tried it.
Finally, my breeder suggested the Nature's Variety dried dog food which left my dogs still a little inconsistent. Then, I found a store in town that carried the freeze-dried small bits. Wow! what a difference it has made. I add 5 nuggets, which are the size of a large cookie dough ball, to some Royal Canine German Shepherd dried dog food and Voila. We have not had ONE incident of diarrhea since. Venison and lamb are their favorites. They are also the perfect size to hide a pill. I highly recommend this product.

(More customer reviews)I'm glad that Stella & Chewy's has come out with this new flavor of freeze dried raw food for dogs. The SURF N TURF is a combination beef and wild salmon and my Shiba Inu loves it.
The round patties are dehydrated and you can just add some lukewarm water to reconstitute them again. There is a fishy scent to the patties, but it's not overpowering and I think it adds to the enjoyment of dogs olfactory senses and makes the food more appetizing.
Anyway, if you're thinking about trying a raw diet for your pooch but don't want to go through the mess of frozen raw or DIY (do-it-yourself), I recommend the STELLA & CHEWY'S FREEZE DRIED RAW SURF & TURF. It's perfect for small to medium size breeds. I don't think it's good for larger breeds because you'll probably go through a bag every other day or so, which can get expensive. Also if you have a picky eater, which I do, I suggest trying this or the Stella & Chewy's Freeze Dried Dog Food for Adult Dogs, Beef Patties, 32 Count, 16 Ounce Bag.
And since Stella & Chewy's are adding more varieties to their freeze dried line, like this and Stella & Chewy's Freeze Dried Dog Food for Adult Dogs, Lamb Patties, 32 Count, 16 Ounce Bag, your furry kid can get the nutritional benefits from eating a wide selection of different foods.
