(More customer reviews)I've now had this product for about a month and I'm quite happy. Setting up the timer was a bit cumbersome, but not too difficult. The hardest part was figuring out how often I wanted to feed them and how long to keep the auger going at each feeding. I did this by holding a measuring cup to the spout and timing how long it took for my desired amount to come out. In my case I wanted a full cup a day, so I have 8 feedings of and 1/8 cup each (for two cats).
We have two cats, but I bought this for my overweight one with the eating disorder (he eats until he pukes). The goal is to have the feeding amount small enough to keep him from puking and to spread the meals out to promote a healthy metabolism.
As mentioned in the title: "So far, so good". Our fat cat has lost a half pound which is something we haven't been able to do with other means. Also, he pukes less often, but he does still gulp it down on occasion.
I recommend this product, but make sure to follow the instructions for setting up the timer very carefully.
